Challenge
A fast-growing Discord server with 10,000+ members required around-the-clock moderation, automated welcome flows, dynamic role assignment, and anti-spam enforcement. Three part-time moderators could not keep pace with the volume, and manual role management was a constant source of errors and member complaints.
Solution
Full Node.js Discord bot: automated welcome messages with server rules, onboarding quiz for role assignment, role-based permission templates, multi-pattern anti-spam with escalating responses, a Telegram control channel for the mod team, and usage dashboards for community analytics.
Results
The 10,000-member server is now managed by a single part-time admin instead of three — moderation workload dropped by roughly 70%. Welcome-to-role onboarding runs without human involvement. The anti-spam system blocked 1,200 automated account attempts in the first 60 days.
